Apply Wizard
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Apply Wizard (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, browser extension, and related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to account holders, authorized team members, and visitors who access our public pages. The Service is intended for adults managing professional job applications they are authorized to handle.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information — such as name, email address, username, and authentication credentials.
- Profile and application content — information you choose to store for applying (for example contact details, work history, education, skills, resume content, and answers you prepare for application questions).
- Job and workflow data — job links and descriptions you import or save, match results, application status, and related notes.
- Usage and technical data — such as IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Communications — messages you send us (for example support requests).
We do not ask you to provide passwords for third-party employer sites through our marketing pages. If you connect optional third-party accounts (such as email providers) through the product, we process only the data required for the feature you enable, as described in the product at the time of connection.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Match job descriptions with profiles you manage and prepare tailored resume drafts
- Enable assisted form filling in the browser extension using data you already saved and approved
- Authenticate users and protect accounts
- Communicate service notices and respond to support requests
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the browser extension to collect browsing history unrelated to the features you use for job applications.
4. Browser extension
The Apply Wizard browser extension runs on pages where you choose to use it to help complete job applications. It may read form fields on those pages and fill them with profile or answer data from your account. Filling and submitting remain under your control—you review content before you submit an application.
Extension permissions are limited to what is needed for assisted applying and communicating with our Service. You can remove the extension at any time through your browser.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who host infrastructure, email, analytics, or support tools under contractual confidentiality obligations
- Employers and career sites when you (or an authorized teammate) submit an application—those sites process your data under their own policies
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards
6. Retention
We retain account and application-related data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of account data as described below, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information (including encryption in transit where appropriate and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and careful handling of account access.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
